Christmas in July at Lacy Sunshine

It is the end of July today, so why not show you a project that I worked on as part of Heather’s Lacy Sunshine Creative Team. This is one of the most awesomeness creative teams that I have been on in my Copic marker journey.

Today I want to introduce you to Eleanor, Santa’s Little Helper. This is the one and only Eleanor in the art world and she was a joy to color with my Copics. After the coloring was complete, Eleanor was trimmed with a die and then layered on several layers of cardstock, red and green of course.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, 00, 04, 11, 21, and R20
Hair: C1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 100 black
Reds: R81, 83, 85, 89
Greens: YG61, 63, 67
Yellows: Y11, 15, 17, with
E31, 33 for shading
Fur: C00, 1, 2

I kept the holly motif going throughout my design. I really had a lot of fun with all the holly dies that I used in this project. After die cutting some of them, and before they were released from the die, I added some distress ink to the embossed areas. In some of my pictures you can see where I added some clear glitter pens to the holly leaves. This helped bring out the green. To complete the card I added the red flat-backed pearls. After this little piece of art, I need to purchase more of these little gems. ;)

Complete recipe:
  • Eleanor digital image
  • Cardstock: Stampin’ Up!’s Graden Green and Cheery Cobbler
  • Designer paper: Gina K Designs Merry Little Christmas
  • Dies: Spellbinder’s Matting Basics A and Holly Motifs
  • Glitter: Wink of Stella Brush Marker Clear
  • Ink: Frayed Burlap Distress Ink
  • My stash: Red Flat-backed Pearls

Victorian Lizabeth by Ria...

Hello Lacy Sunshine Fans,

Today I want to show you this easelcard that I made this afternoon. I coloured Victorian Lizabeth who debuted a couple of months ago in the Lacy Sunshine Shoppe and was a freebie on the Lacy Sunshine Facebook Group for a few days and is now to be used for the Contest going on Facebook. I coloured her first with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers and then enhanced her a bit more with Prisma and Spectrum Noir pencils. Also used Dies from Joycrafts/Marianne's Designs and Embossing folders on the card. The Digipapers are Made by Moi...yes sometimes I create my own digipapers. The crystals on the card are real Swarovski crystals.
I totally love how she turned out and hope you like it to and come join us in the Facebook group.

Copics rv11-32-R81-83- G21- Spectrum Noir BG4-6-7 Copic E41 hair- Skin R11-E11-21- Pencils Prisma's warm grey 90%-50%-Black-Black cherry Spectrum Noir pencils. 101-26 think that where all the numbers used.

Sammi Boo Caroling

hi everyone, caroline here. My turn to blog today hopefully all goes ok as our internet not playing nice at the moment.
I have used Sammi Boo Caroling which can be found Here in the new section of the Lacy Sunshine shoppe, she is such a sweetie. I have colored her with graphit markers. Around the edges of the image i have embossed with Fran-tiag. shabby white. The lamp i colored some acetate with the graphit markers and stuck behind so it looked like the light was on.
The die cut corners are by memory box, The holly and christmas rose decoupage is a sheet i bought years ago but could not find a name on it. I have also used glamour dust on the tree to give it a nice glittery feel. I also used flower soft snow around sammi boo's feet for the lovely wintery look.
Why not take a look at all the wonderful cards on the lacy sunshine challenge blog and also join us at our facebook group, please keep coming back here to visit to see what the next creative team posting will be.
Thats me signing off till next time, hope to see you all soon
